A $5 deposit is required to open your account, which purchases one credit union share. The $5 remains in your account until you wish to close it permanently. We do ask that you keep your account active - either through payroll deductions or regular deposits.
Recently, the National Credit Union Association, a federal agency that charters credit unions, granted Clarion FCU permission to add persons who live, work (or regularly do business), worship or attend school, and businesses or other legal entities in Clarion Borough as members. This means that even if you don’t work for one of the payroll groups listed below, you are still eligible to join if you meet any one of the above criteria. If you do work for a listed payroll group then you and all of your immediate family are eligible to become credit union members.
